IDEA a well known Prepaid & postpaid service provider is all set to launch their services in Mumbai City. It’s been like a final frontier for IDEA to launch the services in Mumbai ,as it was the only major service provider which hadn’t launched services in mumbai.

uptill now Only Airtel , BPL Mobile,Vodafone,Reliance ,TATA Indicom & MTNL’s services were provided in Mumbai circle.

This is what Aditya Birla Group's Chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla said @ the launch

This is a landmark day for Idea. The Mumbai launch bolsters our position as a leading telecom player in India," he added. Idea Mumbai, which will operate on a 1,800 MHz frequency, aims to have an initial network of 1,000 cell sites, Birla said.

That's cool. Mumbai folks have a lot of choice. I am just waiting for mobile number portability in India so that I don't have to change my number when I decide to go with a new service provider.
